Directional Lights Won't Cancel

All lights work and wipers work okay. When I use turn lights amd finish the turn the turn signals stay blinking; they should turn off automatically. Any help? Is this electrical or mechanical problem?

I would say mechanical, as in the MFS is holding up. But that pontification needs some additional info.

do both the left and right have the same symptoms ?

When you turn, do you hear the click on the MFS that is for the return to center on the MFS ( what pushed the MFS stalk back after the turn is complete ) ?

If you hear the 1st click, when you turn back, do you get the 2nd click ?
If you get the 2nd click does the MFS return to the center off position ?

Same problem both left and right. No click sound after the turn. I have been using my fingers to turn off turn signals.

I cannot find a good picture of the back of the MFS or the steering wheel column to know what it looks like to ask about it not picking up the 2nd pin click to return back to center off.

I do not recall any on the site to point you to, maybe taking a search through the forum under the picture search for MFS ??? ( SWAG at this point ).

Sorry I don't have a better answer, I do not recall seeing this issue before to be able to suggest anything useful. Hopefully a member with direct experience on this issue will show up..

Thanks to SSCULLY and PLYRAMLER all is well. I decided to take a look at the Multi Function Switch and when I took the lower steering column cover off a small black plastic piece fell into my hand. It hand come loose from the MFS. A little bit of Super Glue and put everything back together letting the glue harden and lights cancel like they should.
