When do the headlights turn off or are they always on? Have you done any recent mods or when did this started happening?

I got the truck like that... the guy failed to tell me. I can turn them on just fine. but to get them off i have to undo the battery. they dont stay on all the time. just when i turned the switch. and i dont know of any tests to do or anything.

So if you disconnect the battery and reconnect it, they are off until you turn the switch on ?

Is it when you turn the headlamps on, or it does the same thing when you turn the parking lamps on ?

Do you have DRLs on that truck ( if so, factory or aftermarket ).

Are there any modifications to the truck when you got it ?
