Actually there are 3 fuses for the headlamps in the cab fuse panel.

1 for the left low = fuse #26
1 for the right low = fuse #28
1 for both high beams = fuse # 16

Start by turning the main headlamp switch on, with the MFS pulled back ( low beams ) test from a known good ground to both pins on the back of the fuse while it is installed.

This is listed in your owners manual.
If you did not get an owners manual with your truck ( purchased used ), you can download one from Ford :

Glad it was an easy one.

Next time when you hear hovels think horses not zebras.

You had the right idea with the bulb.
When that was no good, next should have been the fuse.
( had you had an owners manual or searched on here to find the fuse # and fuse panel )

You went off the deep end replacing the bulb connector on speculation.
