Oil Gauge

Ok so my oil gauge is ****ed up..... Once in a while it will show i have no oil but then it will jump back up... is it a short or what is going on here? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Probably oil pressure sending unit going out. On a 4.6 it is located close to the oil filter.

It's the pressure switch.
