Alternator Upgrade Question
I have a 1994 F150 XL 4.9 with the stock alternator and I want to know if there's any way to replace it with this:
http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/sk...%26+Drivetrain
It says on the bottom of the page that is replaces the stock alternator but I know for a fact that the wiring is completely different.

Your facts are wrong - it's PnP. That's a 3G, just like the one on there now. The differences are:
1) yours has 4 holes between each pair of front ribs, indicating it's a 95A version; that one has 2, indicating 130A.
2) its mounting ears are straight across; yours are angled, but your bracket has both sets of holes.
.
But you don't have to pay that price, or shipping. Just go to a junkyard and grab a few off V6 Tauruses (or others). JYs around me sell them for as little as $25ea, even if they're shiny with a fresh rebuild sticker on them, just like that one. The rear case may be clocked differently, but even if you can't spin it, any alternator shop can for a few bucks at most.
