Wires all over please help!

The previous owner of my f150 has someone install an aftermarket power window kit on both sides. They had crappy solder on them and had come off. Yesterday i resoldered both wires on the driver side. But when iw ent to put the plastic part back onto the metal door i accidentally dropped it cause the wires from the back of the window buttons to come of. Now i have 14-16 wires all colored coded just lying array. I tried connecting like colors and this did not work. Has anyone installed a window kit themselves who could point me in the direction of a manual. or at lleast tell me which wire is the power so i can try to put my left window up. Thanks!

Have you checked your fuses that are hooked to the window system? It's very possible that some wires touched when they got all mixed up and blew a fuse. That's the easiest thing to try first if you haven't yet

If the system has a name on it, you can possibly go to that comapnies site and download a diagram. If not, e-mail them with the explanation and they will probably e-mail you a diagram.

thank you code 58, looks like i'll be taking the door panel off tonight...And MossyOak3006 the fuses were the first place i went, i figured since i had the door panel off at one point in time it had to be behind it, sure enough....

It would REALLY help to know what YEAR the truck is... Put it in your profile &/or signature.
