A/c vent trouble

I have a 1995 F150XLT that has devolped an a/c problem. When I am driving and accelerate the air blows out the defroster instead of the vents. when I let off the gas it blows back out the vents. Is this a vacuum leak or what? and where do I find the problem?

I would say it is a vacuum leak ( not electrical ).

The 97-03 ( not the same by any stretch ) it usually is behind the HVAC panel, cracked vacuum lines.

Might want to search the MY specific forum to see if it has already been posted, or the HVAC section is another option.
