Constant power at rear of truck
If you have a tow package you should have a constant 12v source back there.
If you look at your manual you should find something for "Towing Battery Charger"
That's how I hooked up my Recon light bar. You may be missing a relay (I was) so you might need to pick one up. They are like $7.
I was missing the Relay in the #5 spot in the passenger side kick panel. Here is the Relay. Duralast Part # 19273
It should be an Orange wire in your 7-Pin connector.. It is in my 05'
If you need more help you can look at this Trailer Diagram

Sorry....new here and first Ford. I love it so far.
2011 F150 SCrew Platinum w/ Ecoboost
Thanks for the help. Will that be power all the time or only when the key is in ignition?

You can use the battery charge circuit on the 7 pin trailer tow adapter, but this is hot only in the run position.
If you want it to be hot all the time, pull the trailer tow battery charge relay out of the BJB ( aka Battery Junction Box / engine compartment fuse panel ) and jumper the normally open contacts in the relay socket. This will have the battery charge circuit hot all the time.
The red line are the terminals in the relay socket that you want to jumper

You will either need 1/8" male spade connectors or file down a set of standard 1.4" male spade connectors to fit into the smaller socket.

Yes it will, you are removing the relay and installing the jumper in its place.
The relay is to have the power be hot in run only, you want it hot all the time.
