Power window issues

Hey guys. Newbie here. I've got an '06 F150 S-crew King Ranch 4x4.

I've got an issue with power windows not working. None of them work, but then open and close the door a few times and they will all work. Is there some type of solenoid that sticks, or is sticking? Any help is appreciated as I'm pretty much at a loss on this one! Thanks!

Sounds like a wiring/connection issue or possibly a button problem with the main switch on the driver's door. I would start by cleaning the button contacts. see the How To in the index of the Articles and How To section.

It's not the switch. When they work, they are all fine. When it's not working, none of the window switches will work and none of the windows will work except the sunroof and rear slider. Is there a door solenoid that could stick that maybe disarms the windows when the door is open but arms when the door is closed? Thanks again.

Just a SWAG, look for a broken wire in the door to a pillar rubber boot.

It would be a Light blue w/ black stripe wire.

This is pending if the power mirrors work when the power windows do not.

If they are dead at the same time, it would be a black wire.

1989 F150 power window problem

My passenger side window has not worked in two years, yesterday it decided to work. So for about a day both windows work fine. Now my drivers side window doesn't work but passenger window still works fine...any suggestions

Start by checking for power on the back of the switch on the Light blue w/ black stripe wire ( it is the same color over the 97-08 MY Range ).

If you do not have power, I would start at the same place, broken wire.

If you do have power, next quick test is to apply power to the power window motor, and see if the window operates.
Muth Co had good directions for taking the door panel off, if you have not done it before.
http://www.muthco.com/support/manuals/
Search on the page for the MY range and type under the Ford section.

https://www.f150online.com/forums/el...dow-motor.html

If the motor works correctly, next is a list of wires to check on the back of the power window switch on the right side.
Let us know how the 1st set of testing goes.

Ok guys, here is a note if you are having trouble with power windows... I recently replaced all my factory door speakers about a month ago... all of a sudden only my passenger window would work, but only from the switch on the passenger door, I went to ford they were useless came home took of my drivers side door panel and realized the connector was loose and not making a good connection. If your door panel has been removed for any reason (even at the dealership) go check the connections and see if that fixes your problems, it fixed mine making sure the connector "clicked" when inserted.
