sears diehard platinum is the best. Best way to buy them is off sears website with coupon code and when they are 10-20% off. Used to drop down to $175 on sale plus the $5 off 50 coupon code.

like right now it's 10% off. $206.99. Group 65 ford truck.

lts a beautiful thing isn't it?.. I don't think you'll ever convince someone how great this battery is unless they've actually owned one. Great choice! Love my Platinum..

Been meaning to ask: I have an optima in my garage queen and I can use a normal battery charger/tender for it in the winter, can I use the same chargers on my new Sears Platinum AGM if I ever need to? (ie; long periods of storage after I win the lotto!!)

I use Deltran's Battery Tender plus on my Platinum, been using it almost everyday since I bought the battery. It's safe to use with all batteries including glass mat types. I don't use my truck that often so it's usually hooked up to the battery 5 out of 7 days a week with no problems at all.

I love the Deltran's so much I've had a battery tender Jr. on my Harley for almost 10 years and its still on the original battery. My Mustang gets and BT plus also.

I'd be careful about other kinds of chargers though, I'd definatly look further into the type charger and if it's compatible with the Plat.

Good to hear, I have a Deltran Tender Plus for my garage queen and two of the smaller ones Juniors for my atv and zero turn.

BUT looking at Deltran's website they now show a Plus model made for GEL batterys so I was a lil confused if the normal PLUS would work...?

You will need to have a AGM compatible charger for it, a Battery Tender is a good one.

I have this one http://www.batterymart.com/p-12151-b...aintainer.html mounted behind the rubber blocker next to the radiator and use it 3-4 times a week over night. My truck is 1.5 yrs. old and only has 10,000 miles. This unit also desulphates the battery.
