Trailer lights not working

Question regarding my trailor lights. I hooked my truck up to three trailers that are in working condition. My truck will not turn on the turn signals or the brake lights. I have an electrical problem with my truck. I checked all the fuses and seemed fine.

Anyone know where the ground is for the 4 prong hitch? Any suggestions on how to fix. Thanks for the help.

You need to identify your specific vehicle in your post so we know what the subject is.

Checked the fuses and they seemed fine ?

Using a meter to check the fuses will show them to be good or bad without question.

If the parking lamps on the trailer work, it is not an issue with the ground to the 4 pin trailer tow connector.

if you feel like checking it for the heck of it.

Prior to dropping the spare and checking the ground lug, you might want to actually check the fuses in the BJB ( aka Battery Junction Box - engine compartment fuse panel ) with a meter, while the turn signals is operational. The fuses are 19 & 20. Check the fuse on both sides while the turn signal is on. Check the left then the right.

If these test good, next is to check the trailer tow adapter ( 4 pin or 7 pin ) with a meter. Until you can verify operation to the trailer tow adapter, don't bother with using a trailer ( it adds another variable to the testing )
