This isn't a solution but I found if you hold the fob against your throat and open your mouth like you are yawning, you can get some extra distance.

Works good when Wifie doesn't lock her doors and I don't feel like going out to get closer.

Maybe try reprograming the fob, IDK.

Yeah, that's one of those nutty ideas that keeps getting repeated. Raising the fob over your head and pressing the button works the same.

Sounds like the antenna wire for the receiver may be disconnected or mis-routed or the receiver is defective.

The RKE fobs you got, are they from Ford, or another place ?

If they are from another place, where ?

You indicate that you changed the battery, was it the correct number & did you check it ?
- I have seen the case of pulling the same "looking" battery out of the drawer, only to see it is the wrong one or a battery that was pulled out of something, and already 1/3 down on the voltage.

You replaced 1 FOB, does the other factory one still work ?
- If so does it have the same distance limit ?
- Why did you replace the last FOB ?

A quick test is do you know anyone with a Ford RKE fob that does not have a distance problem ?
- If so ask to use it for a quick test, by programming it to your truck. This will show if it is a FOB issue or with your truck ?

You did not mention, but need to ask.
Any Modifications to the truck ?
- i.e. did you add something just prior to getting the new RKE fob ?

Had to look up the procedure, could be the RKE fob is out of sync.

RESYNCHRONIZE THE INOPERATIVE REMOTE TRANSMITTER
• Key in OFF position.
• Press any button on the inoperative remote transmitter four times consecutively within 30 seconds.
• Does the remote transmitter operate correctly
