Question ARE LSII Power Lock

Anyone have this power lock installed? My dealer wants $129 for it and I'm too cheap to pay that much . Could someone post a picture of their lock so I can see how it works? I'm going to try to use a powerbolt or something similar on mine. Any suggestions?

Robdude...I will try to take photos for you tomorrow morning. I paid $149.00 for mine and had to install it myself. I was really worried at first because it required that you disassemble the original lock almost completely. But I did it! the directions were very clear (had photos which were a big help!) I also installed a powerlock in the tailgate ($75) and they are two different locks, unfortunately. The ARE power lock has an eyelet (hole) at the tip of the rod while the other doesn't. Is the $129.00 price include install? If it does, that is a good price. For me, I didn't have a choice, dealer was just too far and busy to take care of it so had to do it myself. It took me 3 hours to do it. Well worth it! That manual locking of the lid just gets old real fast, plus I kept scratching the handle with the key!

Thanks for the info. A picture would be great! The $129 is a walk-out price from a local Leer truck shop. I may just have to buy from them because from what I've read on other posts that price is not too bad. Thanks again!

Robdude...tried my best to take clearer pictures but no luck! sorry, all that was clear is this one:

You may also ask the dealer to make copies of the instruction sheets for you prior to making a decision to buy, it has step-by-step photos. Goodluck Rdude.
