I have an 03 Screw with 5.4 When I start my truck it starts kind of weak and the door locks activate for some reason. Did a search but didn't find a solution. Has a motorcraft battery that is no more than a year or two old that I replaced not long ago. Anyone had this before?

 

Do you have an aftermarket RKE, RMST or VSS installed ?

What do you mean, "starts weak" ?

Have you had the battery load tested ?

 

Everything is stock. No aftermarket equipment added. Nothing has been checked on the battery as I have had no issues until now.

 

Turns out the battery was bad. First battery on the truck lasted over 5 years and was still working I just replaced it cause it was old. Upgraded to the 750 amp motorcraft and it lasts only a couple of years.
