Fan Motor plug under dash
The fan motor plug on the passenger side of my 97 Lariat has apparently come loose. When I put pressure on the plug the fan runs. When I let go it stops. I was able to push it on and release the pressure very slowly and it is now running. I know this will only last for a little while until it stops again.
Question is does anybody know how to fix this? The plug is wired direct into the wiring and it is a special Ford plug. It may be a simple fix I just can't figure it out. With no fan motor -- no AC. It gets pretty hot in North GA.

Rockcreek try cleaning the plug with contact cleaner if that doesn't help then try to find a few single "crimp on" wire connectors that will fit the fan socket. Cut the plug off add the connectors to the cut off wires making sure they will fit the fan socket. You can get universal single connectors at any parts store. Your new connectors may not look like the original but as long as they fit the fan socket they will work. Do not trash the removed wiring plug also leave enough wire on the cut off connector incase you need it later (like if the problem is in the fan side connection)
If it works when you apply pressure you may be able to just put a wire tie around it to hold it in tight. And cleaning electrical connections is always a good thing as long as you don't remove too much!
