Sliding rear window

Ok, I have a 2005 with the power sliding rear window. Last fall it just stopped working, so I figured I would wait until spring to fix...no big deal. Tried it over the past few months and nothing. Well I tried it today and it works???!!!

Just wondering if anyone else had this happen and if anyone might know what caused this. I know it is a shot in the dark because it is working now.

It's a pretty common thing and mine has had the same issue. I'm not sure if anyone has ever come up with a fix or not? It can be annoying but like you when I finally get around to thinking about looking at it it starts working again. I used to think it was the contacts in the switch itself but now I am not so sure about it. It also seems to me the longer I go between opening it the more likely it is not to work so I try to open and shut mine at least once a week and that has seemed to help.

my 04 does it 2. i find rocking the switch back and forth usually makes it work, but like stated above i dont think its the switch either. its just something that makes it work. i dont open mine all winter so it should b interesting when i try to in a few weeks.
