The Dash lights on my 06 f150 wont work. I was driving home one night and they went out, so the next day i checked the fuse and it was blown. So I replaced the fuse that evening(to check if the lights would work) and the lights came on for 5 secs and then i smelt burning and the fuse blew again. Was thinking there was a ground problem but I dont know. ANy help would be awesome thanks

nothing at all. All of a sudden the lights when out driving home from work tonight. I know my battery is getting bad(had to be jumped once). Wouldnt think that it we be a factor

 

That should have nothing to do with the lights ( might cause other weird things to happen ).

Something got mashed some how, from the dimmer switch to the wiring.

You can try bypassing the dimmer switch to see if that is it, but I would not suspect it to be the cause.

Don't know how you feel about trying that.

If that does not do the trick, you will need to start removing items like the radio to see if that is the cause of the illumination ckt issue.
