I have a '92 4x4 with 160K and tonight I noticed that my left turn signal stopped "blinking", it would just stay illuminated while the right signal worked normally. My left brake light does not work either, not braking or turn signal. My hazards and running lights all work. My truck only has one bulb for the tail lights and I checked all the fuses and none were blown.

I need help ASAP because I drive mostly at night with no alternative means of transportation!

 

Have you tried replacing the flasher?

 

I figured it out, embarrassingly it was the bulb. I forgot that even though I only have one bulb for the bake lights, the bulb itself has two filaments in it, one for running lights and the other (the one that broke) for brake and turn signal lighting.
