My son and I are just putting the finishing touches on reinstalling his 97 F150 4.2 v6 engine rebuild and we are down to the last connector and can't seem to find where it lands. Does anyone have a GOOD schematic? The one in the Chilton's Manual is marginal at best. Best I can tell, it goes on the driver's side near the A/C compressor. It's a single wire, looks like tan with a red tracer.

 

Slide the harness wrapping back to see the real wire color where it hasn't been faded. Could it be LG/R? How THICK is the wire, compared to other wires? What shape is the connector, and how many positions does it have (including any empty ones)?

 

My son was actually able to find the long lost plug in under the A/C compressor bracket!
We just got the truck running tonight! It has an exhaust leak coming from the right side exhaust at the flange. I've still got some fine tuning to do!
