Did you look at the Ford / Code Alarm system

Travis at KCAutosound has an option for pre wire for a small fee, and includes all the diagrams for the install.

This way, you know exactly how it is installed, and that it is done correct.

I have seen too many problems with "professional" installs for just remote starts, that 1 year later have dead battery issues, and the parking lamps staying on, caused by the wrap the wire around like a t-tap solder connection, but they only use tape no solder.

If you have good recommendations from the local shop, and cannot do the install yourself, might want to go that route.

If you can match color codes for wires, and use a solder iron and heat shrink / electrical tape, might want to drop Travis an email.

Just give him the specs you have on your truck ( gas / diesel ) and what you are looking for ( Alarm / or alarm & immobilizer ) and he will give you the best options.
