2002 rear door edge light

Need to change the bulb and the old one is stuck in the socket. Rather than break the bulb thought i would remove the housing and get at it from the backside. It looks like I should be able to pry the housing out but wanted to check with you guys first before i break the housing.
Any tricks to getting it out????

Thanks

If they are the ones I think you are talking about, they remove from the back.

This is an old thread, took me a few min to find it, is this it ?

Seems like in that thread they are talking about a number of different lights. Mine are the red reflector with a clear lighted section. It looks like they should be able to be popped out from the front but I'm not sure. Can't believe that the dumb bulb won't pull out. Hate to pull the interior door panel just to see how to get at the housing and then find out there is a way to get it out from the outside...
