No cluster lights after fog mod

After doing the fog light mod and putting everything back together I now find I don't have instrument cluster lights at all. They woked fine before the mod.
I have all the warning lights and when I put a jumper from the light blue to the dark blue wires on the small plug (per other threads) the cluster lights come on. The thumb wheel dimmer turns the dome light on all the time.
I believe the small board in the switch is bad now. Any source of replacement or a way to test it? Thanks in advance.

Did you make sure to rotate the wheel all the way up ?

What happens when you rotate it up, and the one more click at the top of the travel ?

Do the other instrumentation lamps work ( radio, 4wd mode switch if applicable, HVAC, glove box, engine compartment, etc ) ?

Did you actually jumper a light blue wire to a dark blue wire ? ( The correct ones are Dark Blue w/ White stripe to Light Blue w/ red stripe wires ).

Nothing happens when I rotate the wheel up and down. Going past the click turns on the dome light like it did before.
All other lights (4x4, radio, etc.) work.
I jumpered the correct wires stated in other posts. I just ommitted the stripe colors in my post. When I did, the cluster lights work fine.
I'd like to test and fix the little board in the switch I have before I try to replace it or failing that, get another switch. Thanks for the help.
