i need help quick! please

so i got my standard 35w hid kit with hi/lo just to see if i liked it. hi/lo is hid low beam and halogen high beam. but i got everything wired up just like i do every other hid kit and went to turn em on and only the passenger side came on. no problem, flipped the pug tried again but same thing so i checked all my connections and made sure everything was perfect and still nothing. i checked the fuse, sure nough blown! replaced it tried again, another blown fuse. tried a 15 amp, same things. 20 amp, same thing. i gave up after a few slammed doors and throwing a the volt meter which landed me here. anybody got any quick suggestions before the sun goes down? lol

You have a short. Keep the fuse at the rating it came with, going higher will only risk a fire.

ok, thanks for the info. i checked everything and it look perfect. so i undone all the work of mounting the ballast and this and that and took the passenger side ballast to the drive side and ta-da! lol im guessing theres something wrong with the ballast. i sent a very frustrated email to hidextra.com stating the problem. i'll prolly grab a spare ballast tomorrow and try to get it all done again and see what happens. i hope its just a effed up ballast
