Main lights out with auto and key fob - help

I tried to search and can't find the best words to use.

My main headlights will not come on when the automatic sensor detects that it is dark or when unlocking the doors with my key fob. The parking lights and dash lights come on. So I assume my auto sensor is good.

What would suddenly make the main lights not work (they work when turned on manually)? Is there a relay switch that needs to be replaced?

Thanks in advance for any help!

I have signatures turned off, so I don't see all the non sense with the pictures and other BS.
Also don't see the information that should be in the profile or the garage sections.

Pull the rear seat back off, and check the plug to the BSM ( Body Security Module ) for a burned pin. Last autolamp issue thread was the pin had burnt to the point it no longer made contact. When you pull the BSM connector, it will be obvious.

Here is the thread on it from 5 months ago ( search on autolamp in this forum, 7th thread in the list )

Thanks! I will read through. I don't know a lot about taking interior things apart.

I have a 2004 F-150 SuperCrew - FX4.

There is a thread in the technical articles / How to Forum on the rear seat back removal.

Got the MY info from your profile once you completed it ( shows in the upper right hand corner with each post. That is how I knew to point you to the 04+ MY BSM issue, not the typical Autolamp issue on the 97-03 MY trucks...
