Angry Keyless entry problems 05

Hey guys, I have a 2005 f150 super crew 4x4 XLT and my keyless entry pad stopped working? It would still light up and lock the doors when pushing the 3/4 & 7/8 buttons. So I replaced the key pad but it won't accept any codes. it won't accept the factory code or my code. I tried the "erase code" process and still nothing. I called the dealer where I bought it and he gave me a factory code which is different from the one on my owners card and it didn't work either. it lights up and locks doors with 3/4 & 7/8 buttons. I am at a loss and I am very dependent on the keyless entry..................

any ideas????????

thanks

It will lock when you press the 3/4 & 7/8 buttons or the 7/8 & 9/0 buttons ?

If you press the buttons 1 at a time, does the keypad light up ( need to open close the door after each button ) ?

This did work correctly before ?

If all the keys will light up ( press a key, check for light open & close door, repeat 4 more times with the other keys ) the keypad illumination & illumination ground to it should be good.

Need to know if the lock is the 3/4 & 7/8 keys, if so this is showing an issue with the wiring, as those are the wrong key combo to lock the door.
