Radio Staying On

I have a 2004 F150, new style, super cab. My truck has started keeping the radio on after key is turned off and either or both doors are opened. I've checked out other posts and forums and can't find help. Here's what I have: radio on, pwr windows work until 10 minute battery protector relay opens. There is no door ajar, no instrument lights at all, outside keypad doesn't work, nor does the normal inside door lock buttons. The dome lights do not come on. I've pulled both threshold strips and pulled up wires on both sides, checked splices and they look fine, there is no sign of corrosion or water intrusion anywhere. The posts I see talk about the fuse box and the GEM but my model doesn't have a GEM. The fuse box is good, without me tearing it completely out, same for the splices. I'm at a loss as my childens manual is useless as it doesn't show wiring detail I think I need. When it is malfunctioning, I can pull the acc delay relay, it shuts all off as it should, put another relay in and it does malfunction again. I'm pretty confident the door switches are ok. It looks like wiring goes through a body security module, but don't know how to isolate it from anything else. I assume the BSM is located behind the rear seat back, but haven't pulled it out, yet. Yesterday the truck seemed to work ok, without any malfunctions, today, my wife goes out turns on the key to unlock doors and (she says later)she noticed some of the exterior lights came on---she may have hit the light swt while key was on while she was cleaning truck out with weak battery, not sure. The battery was dead by the time I got home and it doesn't do that now, but it is keeping the radio on, windows operating, etc until the battery saver comes on. Sorry to run on, but wanted to give as much info as I could at this point.

With the RKE, PWr door locks & keypad not working correctly, I am going to take a SWAG that the ground on the BSM is loose.

I have seen a wire burned up on the BSM connector, but this was for the autolamps.

The Technical Articles thread shows how to pull the rear seat, take a look at the ground from the BSM, to make sure they are secure, and take a look at the BSM connectors for black marks on the face of the connector.

With the RKE / Keypad system the Power door lock switches trigger the BSM to operate the locks, as well as the door switch for door ajar also are operated by the BSM.

This is a SWAG, without removing the splice tape, you are not going to know if the splices are OK, so that is still an item in question, but start with the ground on the BSM & BSM connector.

Thanks, I just need some downtime and good schematics (maybe and a clue), but will try to get at it. I want to rule out the door close/open signal is working from the door switches tomorrow. It looks like that goes to the BSM and the instrument cluster, so if screwed up, I could see where the radio and the door lock problems could be caused. Just need to find an easy way to get to the right wires.

Found the problem...broken wire. Took rear seat out and checked ground, it was good. Then started checking power legs and found one that was supposed to have V+ all time without power. Went to fuse (107 I think) and and double checked it, it was good. Pulled fuse and checked for power there, it was good. Then with fuse out ohmed from output side to the connector on the BSM and it was open. Hmm. It was then just a matter of tracing down where the open was. I found it on passenger side in the tray under the threshold. There was no splice involved and there was no indication of a break externally. I put in a splice, sealed and everything is back to normal. Lesson learned is, if your radio stays on after opening door/turning off ignition and the power door locks don't work, troubleshoot the power door lock problem first.

Finally came across your post here, and this is exactly what mine did to me last night...looks like I will be checking the connections.
