back lights and ext. cab lite stays on. Why?

back lights and ext. cab lite stays on. Why?
the back lights and the external lite on the top back of the cab, stay on after turning off my 1997 f150. Have had intermittent issues with wipers, and windows not working. Are these separate issues or, is this a body control module issue?

Ford does not have a BCM ( that is a GM term ).
2 things
1. Check if you door ajar indicator on the dash stays illuminated.
- Sticky at the top of this forum if it is.
2. Check the driver's side floor for signs of water.
- Up at the edge of the carpet and along / behind the driver's side kick panel.
- OF so this could be a soaked GEM issue.
