I know this is an f-150 site but my dad gets on quite a bit and said to give it a shot. I have an 04 Ford explorer 4.6l xlt with about 80k miles on it. While driving up state this weekend I was set in cruise control doing about 55 mph and my engine just shut up and the check gauge, battery and check engine light came on. I did not lose battery or any of my electrical functions just lost engine? I Then pulled over and it started right up then proceeded to drive again and set back on cruise control and not even ten minutes later the same situation accured then started back up. Drove back 200 miles without cruise and did not have any problems. Any suggestions about this??

Can Ford retrieve any data from the computer??
