The other day I was driving down the road the pats light came on for about 30 seconds then went off. Trucks running fine and no codes were thrown. Any idea what it was trying to tell me?

Just got back to where my service manuals are at, and there is no indication of this to point to a problem.
PATS is only a factor when starting the truck, after that PATS does not do anything. Same reason you can hold a programmed PATS key by the ign cylinder and use a normal key to start the truck.

The best I can offer ( which is not worth much ) keep an eye on it, see if it happens again.

 

Thanks sscully, I was hoping you would comment. I'll keep an eye on her, was just kind of strange seeing the light lite while driving down the road.
