Wire harness for 06 screw tailer
I have a Prodigy brake controller I want to hook up in my 06 screw 4x4. I did a search but nothing was relevant for my exact config. I am looking under the dash as to where to tie this controller into?. I found a nice mounting plate for the unit and what looks like some sort of connector bunched up and taped up above the computer port below the steering column. It is a 6 pin connector with only 4 pins populated.
Any idea what this is

I know this was posted before ( and talked about many times ), the facotyr end should have 5 wires in it.
Sounds like your truck already had the same ( similar ) controller installed, so the brake controller adapter is already installed.
Searching on Prodigy brake controller resulted in 249 threads.

Agreed! I had to buy a "Ford Adapter" when I bought my brake controller. But, you MAY have an adapter installed for a different brand/model brake controller, or you may be missing the adapter. The Prodigy is designed to work with virtually ALL makes of vehicles, so it always needs an adapter.
It's a good controller, by the way.

SScully, That looks like the connector I found taped up under the dash .
Where did you get that picture. I looked in my manual and no luck. I would like to read what the wire color codes are.
My prodigy controller has 4 wires coming from it
Black to battery +
white to battery -
blue to trailer connector(?) not sure what pin on the trailer connector though didn't say
red to stoplight I think they mean brake light.
I was thinking of just wiring ,solder, heat shrinking the wire to each other.
