Post Lighted Running Boards

I got a set of Westin Lighted Running Boards for my 2000 F150/XLT/7700. I was intrested to find anyone who has already done it to see if they have any suggestions on the wiring, even a good place to get the wire through the firewall on my truck. to a good place to tap the courtesy lights relay outside the cabin.

Thanks,

Cool

I installed these lights under the body to come on with the dome light. Under the passenger side doorsill is a bundle of wires. I can't remember the color but there is a hot and a door switched in that bundle. As for where to run the wires there is a grommit in both doorsills, I ran the wire behind the rear seat under the carpet for the drivers side.

Hope this helps.

When you placed the lights under did you tap off of that line directly or did you go through a relay?

Cool

I just went directly. You could use a relay there is plenty of room under the sill
