Turn Signals
I saw some previous posts concerning problems with turn signals not working when the steering wheel was tilted, then starting back working when it was tilted to a different position. I think there was a connector that was getting partially unplugged.
If anyone has found a way to correct this problem, I'd appreciate any information you can offer. It sounds like what mine is doing, except that mine started working again when I was making a sharp left turn.

Yeah, I know, mine does that too, but this is some kind of electrical problem. Thanks though. That's a nice machine you have there. How do you go about posting a picture? I'm kind of new at this.
I haven't seen the previous posts, but I know that with mine, if I'm steering slightly left or right, like around a corner and need to hit the turn signal, it won't work. It's irritating. It's mechanical though. It's like the mechinism that kicks them off once you've made the turn it keeping the wand from turning them on.

I had a problem with my turn signals too. Sometimes they would work, and sometimes they'd only work really fast. We changed the bulbs, etc., and that was not the problem - my boyfriend ended up taking off the top half of my steering wheel and going into the turn signal unit. He took the whole piece off (it's a black box and the wiper and turn signal switches are attached). Anyway - he took that box apart and found some greasy liquid smeared all over the inside. He cleaned it off with alcohol and Q-tips and I have not had any problems since then. FYI - if anyone needs to replace that turn signal box - it runs approx. $200 or so. Getting into the steering wheel was not difficult, just get a Ford 150 book for the step by steps.
