Gone Bad?
1999 150 super cab 4 door 4X4 XLT most options. I will keep this short!
In May of 1999, 8 weeks old 4,600
miles, the truck will not start, called the dealer they said keep track of it, jump it
all is fine....
March 2000 1 year old about
13,000 miles once more will not turn over,
this time I jump it and it starts then (3 sec. later) I shut it off, remove the jumper cables
truck starts right up under it's own power....?????
Now, it has started to do it once more, this time towed to the dealer, they check it over bat. has 10.92 volts replace the bat. with a new one.
Did it this morning...tow it in, they check the bat. all is fine. The dealer is as we speak is running some draw tests.
Has anyone had this happen to them?
if so let me know.
thanks

It kinda sounds like what my truck did when the starter went bad. But that was at 80,000 miles. Maybe it's just got a bad solenoid (on the starter). It wouldn't click or turn over at all, and then a few key turns later it would fire up. Good luck!
Had something like that happening to my old Mazda PU
It was the ground cable
It kept coming lose from the battery. It could also be lose at the other end but at the battery is more likely
You jump start it adn that movement causes good connection. It works it's way lose and won't start.
Does it lose ALL power? Chimes, clock, etc?

Electrical problems are sometimes difficult to diagnose and I am sure its frustrating but if one or two chances is all your giving the dealer to look at it...your asking a lot! There has to be more to the story...take it back give them another shot and be firm.

Bad Truck,
Hmmm, can you spell L E M O N?! Start some serious b*@#!$&g!
I'd just have them replace everything if necessary. Hey, you paid for that warranty! It's not like it came for free.
Have a nice day.
