Hey fellas...2000 f150 4x4. Window control on the drivers side will not work either driverside or pass side. But i can operated the pas side window from the pass side. I checked the fuses...all good. I just bought a new switch...that was not it either. Do you guys think i have a short?

 

Pull the switch panel, and check the driver's side switch for power on the Light Blue w/ Black stripe wire with the key in the accessory or run position.

If the switch does not work, chances are it is an open not a short

 

What do you mean by an open? Sorry just not a pro.

 

ok..i have power to the blue wire...but switch will still not work?

 

"Open" as in broken wire or a connection has come loose.

Short is where the power is grounding out.

 

You need to check the Light Blue w/ Black stripe wire, not a blue wire.

 

thanks fellas...bought the truck used un seen...wiring in the switch was wrong. Someone messed with it. It also needed a new switch! Thanks for your help!
