Did dead battery clear computer?
Oops, I left my fog lights on and killed the battery. So much that the key fob unlocking didn't work, radio presets were lost and not a dash light to be seen.
By doing this did I clear my computer of any bad memories? Other threads talk of pulling the battery cable and turning lights on for 5 minutes to drain the system. I'm not sure what good or bad this has done? Help!
I jumped the battery and drove home and put the battery on a charger . It seems to be fine.

If your check engine light has been on for a bad sensor or what ever that would have been cleared out otherwise nothing happened except you didn't have any juice to fire your truck up.
