Smile Keyless Entry System

Does anyone know where I can buy a Ford factory keyless entry system without paying dealer retail? I have a '99 F-150 XLT Supercab.

Thanks,
John

Keyless Entry or Remote entry? (i.e. keypad on the door or remotes on keychain?)

There was a post on that exact topic in the lightning forum a month or so ago... run a search for keyless entry there and you'll come up with a ton of hits...
In short, I believe the answer is yes.

Sorry for not being specific. I meant remote keyless entry system with the remotes on a keychain.

Thanks,
John

I guess, I'm not making myself very clear. I need the whole remote keyless entry system. Not just the remotes. I got a quote from fordpartsonline.com at $157.50. I guess that's a pretty good price for a factory system, unless anyone knows of a better price.

you can get an aftermarket lock/unlock/starter for about $70. that is what I use. I bypassed the factory unit.

You want the ford keyless entry system? You may have to fabricate the wire harness and add a RAP module. You would also have to put the fat chipped ignition key in to run this system. I'll tell you something, I just added the door keypad entry to the drivers door of my wifes98 eddie b. expy was a pain in the butt.
