I have a 1997 F-150 Lariet Super Cab, 4.6 with the auto lamp system. I have the sensor covered so that the headlamps come on whenever the engine is started. This morning I started the engine and only the parking lamps came on. I then manually activated the headlamp switch, but they still did not come on. I went ahead and drove, since there was enough daylight without the headlamps. The headlamps came on within a block or two. Has anyone had this problem, and if so, what was the cure?

 

havent seem that problem at work yet, but the headlights are on a relay by themselves.
