97 passenger power window motor removal

97 passenger power window motor removal

Need help with power window remova.l Removed bolt but do not know how to remove the pieces that look like pop rivets sort of. Does this take a special tool. Thanks for any reply

Rivets

To remove the pop rivets, you need to punch out the center with a small punch and use a 1/4 drill bit to drill them out. You also need to have 1/4 rivets to install as well. Some people have used bolts to replace them with but I have not tried that. Good luck

The rivets are for the mount, no need to take them out.

Here is a thread that shows where to drill for the bolts ( actually self tapping hex head screws ) on the motor.
