Autolamp
Does anyone have any idea on how to adjust the sensitivity for the autolamp? I have a 2000 F-150 Lariat. My son-in-law's 1999 F-150 Lariat has a rotaty know next to the light switch to control the sensitivity, but the 2000 doesn't, and the folks at the Ford dealer seemed surprised that it would be possible to change the sensitivity (in other words, absolutely no help). The problem is that the lights don't come on until its almost too dark.
Showing my lazyness .. along the same lines, does anyone have any idea how to fix the driving lights so that they would also come on when the wipers are turned on. Down south (actually east of the Mississippi) many states require the headlights be on when you are using the windshield wipers.

You can easily, with patience, remove the oval cover on top of your dash, where the sensor resides. And using a piece of black electrical tape, cover one or two of the sensor "strips". I'd try one first, then if they don't come on quick enougn, try covering two. I think I remember the sensor having 5 or 6 strips to sense light.
Thank you XTRUKY. I sort of had an idea the sensor was located up on the dash below the little grill, but wasn't too keen on trying to remove the cover just to discover that my hunch was wrong. I'll give it a try.
