Replace '00 light switch with a '99???

After looking in the electrical section of this board I found this link: http://www.geocities.com/tedoca/headlight.html
I now wonder since the whole assy. is removable, what is the difference between a '99 model with auto lamps, and a '00 model? (I have an Expy, don't know if it's different from the F-150 or not) Are they interchangable?
On my '00 the rotary switch 4 positions (left to right): Auto lamps, off, park, head/fog.
I just wonder if it would be as simple as getting a '99 assy and swaping it into place?
Any ideas? I have not looked for any wiring diagrams for the 99 & oo yet.

There is no need to "swap" out your swich. YOu can make the same mods to your switch. Do a search and someone has an exellent post that illustrats how to do it.

A post on how to make the fogs work on park/highbeams (not necassary for me) or on how to extend the 20sec timer for my autolamps(Necassary!)??
