I just bought a 2000 F-150 and it does not seem to have a delay for turning off the dome light after the doors close. My wife's 1996 Ranger has this handy little feature and it seems that Ford would not delete it on newer, more expensive trucks. Am I wrong, or does the feature just not work on my truck? Thanks in advance for any help.

 

With my truck, the delay only works when you unlock the doors with the keyfob. If the doors are unlocked and you get in the lights go off when the door is shut.

Speaking of the light/keyfob.. My truck will turn on the insinde/cargo light when I unlock it about 50% of the time. Anyone know why it will turn on at times but not always?

2000 F150 4x4,
I have a similar problem. About half the time my doom light won't activate with a single click of the remote. A second click always seems to work. The dealer has no clue. Thought it could be the battery save module. Dealer replaced it but it didn't solve the prob.
