Post keyless entry/alarm

I have a 1998 supercab that has the keyless entry/alarm system installed at the factory. I have had the alarm go off occasionally without anyone around the truck. In fact it has gone off sitting in my garage or driveway unlocked which I would assume means the alrm is not activated. Has anyone had a similar experience or a solution to this problem? Thanks

Cool

yep, I have had the same thing happen a couple of times because one of the keys or something else in my pocket pressed on the panic button on my remote that was also in the pocket.

The alarm goes off without anyone touching the panic button on the key chain. THis does not happen very often, but it can be aggravating. Any guesses as to why it does this?

JMSMBRY,
CALL YOUR LOCAL FORD DEALER AND SEE IF THE KEYLESS ENTRY BOX CAN BE REPROGRAMED WITH ANOTHER CODE. YOU MAY BE GETTING A SIGNAL FROM SOMEONE ELSE THAT MAY LIVE BYE YOU THAT ALSO HAD KEYLESS ENTRY. I HAD THAT PROBLEM WITH A GARAGE DOOR OPENER FROM A NEIGHBOR DOWN THE STREET. THE FACTORY CODES WERE THE SAME AND YOU ARE SUPPOSE TO CHANGE THEM ONCE THEY ARE INSTALLED. IT WONT HURT TO CALL AND SEE.
