Question Help.. with led light strip for audi headlight look

ok... i bought 2 led light strips from auto zone. it can go on the outside ocf the car, i wanted it to look like- http://www.oznium.com/product_photos/large/3628.jpgo[/URL]. so i took out my the running light bulb( i think thats what is is) and took the positive wire from the led and ran it through one side of the bulb. i did the same thing for the negitive wire but it was on the other side of the bulb. after that i plugged the bulb back into the socket. and turned on the running lights and it worked!! so i did the same for the other... u tried to turn it on again and both were out as well as the dash lights... i blew fuse #6 does anyone no a better way to do this????

Raptor is right. You either have a short somewhere or you just happened to touch a ground while you were hooking it up. Post some pics when your done.
