Keyless Entry Keypad problems.

So, I just bought the truck and I am having trouble reprograming my door code so that it is my personal code. I dont know the orignal 5 digit code, so I am having some problems, any help is greatly appreciated.

The security module will have a sticker with the 5-digit code.

IIRC, the module is on the back wall of the cab.

Or you need to call the dealer and tell them to give you the code.

There are 3 scources for the code. There was origiinally a card put in the Owner's Manual, it might still be there. The dealer can hook up a computer and read the code for you. Or, it is on a label stuck to the Body Control Module. In a Screw, the BCM is behind the back of the rear seat and requires the back to be removed to see the label. There is a How To on removing the back in the Artcles and How To.

There is a black box on the wall under the back window, toward the driver's side. Should be a label stuck to that box.

It is the right most black box about the middle of this pic. The other stuff is sound equipment.

The 99-03 MY has the RKE & keypad to the RAP / CSM ( Remote Antitheft Personality / Central Security Module ), with the factory code on it.
This is located up behind the dash on the driver's side.

Note parking brake to the left side of the picture.
Driver's side floor.

Looking up behind dash. That white box has a 5 digit code on it.
Left side of picture is the ratchet mech for the parking brake.

lil off topic but not too far:

Can I get the Factory Code changed ?
I have a neighbor that borrowed my Screw a few months ago and locked the keys in so i gave him the access code. I never made up a secondary and now have a concern.

I'm guessing, but you would have to replace the Body Control Module and then get the PCM reprogrammed to 'match' the new BCM.

Maybe someone has had it done and will chime in.
