Unhappy runaway

Has anyone else had their truck unexpectedly accelerate, pedal drops to floor and vehicle takes off without warning? Dealer said it is probably cruise control problem and disconnected it, couldn't find anything wrong. Sure scared us to death.

Thumbs down

My SuperDuty was recalled for a Cruise Control problem - potential for NOT shutting off when hitting brake. I never had it do anything unexpected. They replaced a cable.
Good Luck!

Oh crap. That would be bad when your going 70+ on the HW and a rig cuts in front of you, and hitting the brakes does nothing, YIKES!!

Pretty scary to have that happen, but as long as your brakes still work, they will stop the truck, even at wide open throttle. Even a dragster probably doesn't make enough horses to overpower your truck's brakes.
