Question Anti-Theft Batteries.

Has anybody tried one of these?
I would think you would loose all the presets on your radio and your computer would have to "relearn" every time you ativated the battery.

I have not tried one..but I think you might be correct! It might be a really good product (and might not)...but it is just something else that can go wrong.

I believe Dilbert is right. You've always got the 12 volts present and just enough current (maybe less than 5 amps) to keep the electronics alive, however when that starter wants its 300+ amps to turn the engine the battery won't allow it.

I think...and I could be wrong, since I'm just guessing, that it doesn't cut power completly. I think it would just cut the power down to the point that it won't start.
It would be pretty worthless is not only you had to reset the clock and presets everytime, but if the computer would have to relearn your driving style.
