The location of the Window motor and heated seat relays?

I have a 2001 Expo EB heated front seats and power windows. I first stated noticing that the windows would delay and I could here a relay click and then the windows would pause and then roil down. So yesterday I tried to roll do0wn the right rear passenger window and it took about 2 mts of pushing the button before it would go up and down. I’m pretty sure this is a relay and I would love to know where it is?

Second issue is my heated seats have worked fine for the last 2 years except they would some times not come on and other times they worked just fine. Well the light comes on both seats but no heat I seriously doubt both seat would go out at the same time. Does any one know where the relay is for them?

Thanks for you help guys

1. Right rear passenger window does not have a relay in the circuit, power from the switch through the passenger door switch to the motor.
The power windows only have the OTD relay for the driver's side in the window circuit from the switch to the motor, and this is only if the OTD section of the switch is pressed.

Might want to test the switch. At least pull the switch panel, and hook a meter to the power to the switch, to see when you have this problem if power is at the switch when this happens.

2. The heated seats do not have a relay at all.
If the light comes on, but the seat does not heat, then you have a broken wire in the element, or both heated seat modules went out at the same time.
I would think checking the output of the heated seat circuit is in order.
The seat back is in series with the seat bottom, The circuit is HSM -> Violet w/ light blue stripe -> Seat back element -> Gray w/ light blue stripe -> seat bottom element -> Yellow w/ light blue stripe wire -> HSM.

You can check for resistance at the connector that plugs into the HSM, from the Violet w/ light blue stripe to the Yellow w/ light blue stripe wire.
This will be high resistance, but I would suspect you are going to see an open.
The other is the temperature sensor circuit could be bad, but if this was the case you should see the heated seat light come on and go off ( as in seat is at temperature ).

I seriously doubt both seat would go out at the same time
I always say the same thing with statements like this, it is in the column of possible but not probable.
To use probabilities as a step ( more correctly in skipping a step ) in problem diagnoses is a very bad idea.

Cool SScully you gave me every thing I needed to the T =) Ill post back with my findings thanks a million. I hear what you’re saying about assumptions but it seemed like a logical guess but then it’s still an assumption LOL. I have to say thou it’s wired to hear a relay clicking every now and then followed by a short pause and then bam the windows go down. I will get the multi meter out this weekend. Thanks a million for laying the wiring diagram out for me.
