power lock Actuator

power lock Actuator

Can anyone tell me how to replace the lock actuator on an 2000 f150, tried ,could'nt get a hand on it to take it off. (pics would be nice too if any) Thanks

Obviously door panels off, window up. Now, each rod going to the actuator slides into a clip usually and some fold and clip, looking at it makes sense. No simple way around removing it, it needs to be forced sometimes. Hard to explain but harder to get pics too. You'll need to remove the 2 screws holding the latch onto the door but do that when all the rods are off. The electrical connector(s) forget if theres one or 2 can come off preferably after the screws are removed. That's about all I can say, I just did mine and it was fairly simple. Just remember what goes where and it's orientation.
