So yesterday I decided to test to see if I had the rke system and I unfortunately do not. So after some thought I decided I would get an aftermarket system with remote start, sense I live in WI it only makes sense. My question is what is an after market remote start/rke that will work with my 97, and is there ones that arent so hard to install so I can do it myself if price was lower that would be nice as well. Any help is appreciated thank you.

Same here. Hit Travis up. I just put a Compustar 1WG2 system in a co-worker's 2000 F150 that didn't have keyless entry. Basic and did the job well. To date I would say I've installed about 20 systems from him for friends and family not counting the audio equipment bought from him.

Just a note to all. His site is really lacking the products that he sells. Just hit him up. He carries soooo much equipment but just doesn't have the time to put it on there.
