Overdrive "OFF" light on gear shift lever

Last week my passenger side window just stopped working. It is in the UP position so no panic involved. Immediately after seeing that problem the light on my gearshhift lever that shows I am in overdrive came on and now lights up soon after I start driving, although I am not in overdrive. This is 1998 F150 Lariat V8. A couple of years ago I had the same problem with the light and the dealer replaced a relay of some sort, but no window problem. I don't believe too much in coincidences and cannot locate any fuse linked to either place in my trusty F150 manual. I have the F150 service manual on CD but it won't work on the new 64 bit computer. Any ideas guys?

No relay involved with the OD light.

If it is illuminated, the fuse for it is good.

Might want to have the trans checked, could be reporting a problem. Usually it is flashing when there is a problem.
